Roverline is Queensland Rovers YouTube Channel's news show that is a one-stop shop for all the goings on in Queensland Rovers. It is a monthly show that delivers all the news and information coming out of the Queensland Branch Rover Council.

HistoryEdit

The BeginningEdit

After many iterations of Roverline as a newsletter, Nick Linde came up with the idea "instead of making the newsletter that nobody reads, why not make the videos that nobody watches." Roverline went in to development in June, 2015. The first episode was filmed in the kitchen of the Stafford Scout Den in August, 2015 and was uploaded to the Queensland YouTube Channel later that month.

Since then, the show has aired after every QBRC Meeting and a Roverline special aired in August, 2016 to wrap-up St. George's Ball, 2016.

FormatEdit

The show in it's first few months covered QBRC headlines, activities and events this worked for a first few episodes but as activities and events took up more and more of the time in the show, another show was added to the channel, Roveractive. After the removal of the activities and events segment, the show could be shorter and was able to focus on the headlines and have a feature segment. Most of the episodes have a feature segment covering topics like award nominations, conferences, interviews and special events.

As the Queensland Rovers YouTube Channel has expanded, Roverline has gotten shorter and stopped featuring guests. The more shows and videos being uploaded to the channel have reduced the amount of time to work on the show and the amount of content the show has to cover. Roverline has become a news show first and fore most. The only elements kept in the 2017 version of the show is the headlines and a feature story.
